More safety in working with asbestos: On March 3, the draft bill for the new Hazardous Substances Ordinance was published in Germany.
"In particular, this links the requirements for protective measures to the statistical risk of suffering from cancer as a result of the specific activity. Special consideration is given to activities involving asbestos, which can still occur today during the construction of older buildings. The amendment to the Hazardous Substances Ordinance implements the results of the national asbestos dialog in this regard."
It is not specific guidance regarding asbestos cement pipes, but contains important obligations for employers and clients.
